I really can't take a break, because I am on a deadline with regard to my mortgage. I am working hard, and more or less successfully, not to beat myself up for things I failed to do in the past, but if I had taken care of this a month ago I could have done it with no deadline pressure, much better chance of getting the loan I need, a better loan, and could have solved this before going into foreclosure. It would have only taken one phone call to get the ball rolling and see what my options were, the same phone call I ended up making after I was served the foreclosure papers.

I can't look back on that and say "I should have" but I can't sit by and let it happen again, especially since I am running out of "Get out of jail free" cards.
