Thanks - I guess you can tell from my first post that I was pretty happy I went through with it. I could have wimped out because of the weather - air temp was about 14 degrees with a 20 plus MPH sustained wind so wind chill was probably in the -5 range. Cold stuff but I have had so much experience with winter cycling that I had a good idea how to dress for it and I was comfortable. Plus it was in the urban core of one of the older first-ring suburbs so the houses being close together and the big trees and landscaping blocked a lot of the wind.
