I have been on Venlafaxine (150 mg/day) for some years - it has helped though it took about a month to kick in fully.

If you do decide to discontinue, then it is important that you do that with *close* supervision from your mental health care team.

Unsupervised discontinuation can be a *very* unpleasant experience.
