What does that mean?
What is help?
I have 'asked' on several occasions and nothing ever changes? I have appointments and they say they will contact other people for me and then nothing happens. Then a few appointments later it gets suggested that someone gets contacted but I'm never brave enough to say 'actually you were supposed to have done that already'
Do I have unrealistic expectations?
I'm a single parent with two school age children, I know I'm not going to have someone come and do things for me, I don't feel like I have been 'helped' in any way?

Hi Oystersoul,
I'm not sure what they mean by "ask for help," or if you are being treated right. Either way, I don't think depression is the kind of thing that gets fixed without your active involvement. Speaking as an anonymous guy on the internet, what I think is the best plan is in post #74 of this thread:

Maybe that helps or gives you some ideas.
