Zwangsstorung (or anybody else), would you mind giving me your opinion on something? I've been jog/walking for at least 6 weeks now and my legs STILL hurt pretty much the whole time I'm jogging, especially my right one. I stretch beforehand and afterwards. How/why could this be? It really detracts from my enjoyment of the exercise.

If I knew there was something I could do to help it, I would. When I used to jog in my 20s and 30s my legs never hurt like this at all! I don't know how I'm going to make it up to 3.4 miles to participate in this relay race this spring if it constantly hurts to jog.

Thanks for any thoughts . . .

P.S. I sent a message to the "experts" on RunnersWorld.com and also just did a basic search on google for "why do my legs hurt when I run?" Seems the suggestion from other runners is either buy new running shoes (mine are old) and/or go to an orthopedic specialist. I think I'll try new running shoes first.
