I told my t that sometimes I feel upset or uneasy in session and I am not aware of it right then and there. It takes me a few hours to put my finger on it, to identify why I am feeling irritable or unhappy about something that had happened in session. So I asked if she'd be able to stop and ask me what it is I am thinking or feeling. She said that yes there are people for whom there is a lag time between sensing something and making the connection in their brain. This lag time frustrates me. I want to be able to be aware of my feelings in the moment so that I may address them right then and there.

To that end I asked for her help. I asked if she'd be able to stop and ask me how I feel or what I'm thinking.

Any thoughts on this subject?
