I take quite a mix of psych meds, although I am trying to wean off some.

I also take a thyroid replacement hormone (levoxyl) due to having my thyroid removed because of a small amount of cancer they found.

I know that the thyroid can have an affect on your mood but my endo says not to depend on the levoxyl to help my depression.

I get the impression that he thinks I am just dealing with "sadness", not really understanding the battle I fight almost daily with my psychotic depression.

Anyway, do you think I should look for a Endocrinologist that has experience with psych meds...maybe a referral from my pdoc, or should I just suck it up and deal with the fact that not ALL doctors have an understanding of mental illnesses.
