I'm confident some psychiatrist (& doctors) should not have a license to practice. The book I am reading "MADNESS" by author Marya Hornbacher shows without any doubt Marya is totally messed up in her pitiful life. Interesting reading I guess. She, among many other things on her list, is a lush alcoholic day & night. The list of psychiatrist she has seen is very long. But in the book is one psychiatrist that should have her license taken away. Marya is a genius, and a writer, and at times spends much, if not all the money time & time again. But one psychiatrist she visited with is herself crazy. Marya hates psychiatrist to start with. And back in 80's & 90's less was known about BP. But this one, when she first went to visit, it took Marya time (her time) to start revealing things about her life. When it came to alcohol, Marya started off slow, but at first she thought the psychiatrist wasn't getting it. But even when Marya told of all the alcohol, that psychiatrist told her it should not alarm her. The psychiatrist also placed her on medication. What I almost forgot to say was when Marya first went into her office, right away she could see the office was finished with the most expensive every thing. And the psychiatrist was dressed in the most (her) expensive clothing possible. It was a large city, so just maybe if patients are not told what they want to hear, the psychiatrist knows they will go somewhere else. Anyone experience something just not right with a psychiatrist? Sorry this is so long. As always, Marya move on to other states and cities. One time she and this equally crazy guy just took off with no direction, and spent time in USA & Mexican deserts totally as drunk as one can possibly get.
Thanks for this!
