I have read both maryas bpoks "wasted" her struggle with anorexia and then "madness" her struggle with bipolar. In both books she shows contempt for most healthcare professionals and in both books she is hell bent on self destruction. She is drinking day in day out and plays with her medicine. Much of her issues seems personality disordered as well and many of her "episodes" in both books were brought on by drugs and alcohol and would have caused anybody to go nuts
