I think it's always good to explore options for treatment. Read up on types of treatments that are offered for your diagnosis and what people who have had that treatment say about it. You can also look around for the types of experimental trials researchers are doing for your diagnosis as well. You'll have to gauge the level of participation you're willing to put in because there isn't going to be a cure or intervention that won't require some level of effort.
