Remember, it doesn't all have to get covered in one session AND it certainly won't get resolved in one session, so start with what you feel is impacting you most at that moment and work from there.
Sometimes I may go several months between sessions, but I don't go into the first session back expecting I will catch him up on every important thing that has happened in between all at once. He always starts with how am I doing? What is affecting my well being the most at this moment? And we work from there. It won't all get covered, but that is our starting point.
