I don't have DID so I'm not speaking from experience at all, just from my own thoughts.

Is there a chance that you developed without feelings due to the fact that all of Paradox learned that emotions did not result in anything good, so you came into existance (I'm sorry, that sounds awkward to say and I mean no offense) emotionless - no bad memories attached and no emotions to make you vulnerable. It seems like it could be the best defence/armor you could have. A nice hard shell, sorta, like a turtle you know?
