Alcohol turns to sugar in our bodies. So when we quit injesting it, our bodies crave the sugar, and so we think we're cravin the drink. Its amazing how a little chocolate will help ease the cravings.
I lived with chocolate soy milk in my fridge when I first got sober. Don't know why, but it helped with the cravings a lot. And I kept chocolate nuggets in the cupboard. Whatever is your fancy, get it and have it on hand. Soda works well too.
