I was first put on Risperdal, an antipsychotic. I gained 60lbs rapidly with all sorts of side effects. I complained month after month until my doc gave up because I was at risk for diabetes and put me on Geodon. I lost all the weight and have no side effects. I'm still pissed my doc didn't put me on a better med to begin with. What a waste of time and stretch marks. I hope this med comes out. Weight gain is a big issue with me. Im fine with Geodon but I know it wouldn't work for everyone.
