Last time I tried to quit, I used the patch and the gum (advised to do so by a smoking cessation counselor). It really worked great, and I was smoke free for six months.
The patch was like my maintenance drug, while the gum was for when I was REALLY craving a smoke.
I want to quit, too, but living with a smoker and being unstable as of now...well, I'd just be setting myself up for failure.
