When I was recovering from psychosis I discovered strategies to cope with all the information that was coming in. For example, pictures of people in magazines used to stare and communicate with me. It was really distracting when I wanted to read an article. Rather than avoid my favorite magazines I would cover the picture or color the eyes with a black marker. It prevented further communication and I could read a magazine article in privacy and without that uncomfortable feeling you get when someone stares at you. Maybe you can come up with a similar strategy that prevents their technology from gaining access to you.
