That is true. She told me that jobs start at over 10/hr she and her kids just moved down there 2-3 months ago she is much older than me and still looking for work. I'm not really happy, what happiness? l Don't see why you had to jump to conclusions over a person's emotions you know nothing about! AZ with its lack of resources, so called low unemployment (that I don't believe, still hard to find any work here, etc.) I wanted to leave AZ a few years to another state for work. Oh guess what? All I have to do is pack my stuff and drive down to my sister's - see simple as that at least I could stay with her and find work that's what she told me - it was her offer.
Yep, I don't see myself catching up in IT because of not having any backed up experience in the past not like that's my fault I was still working on a degree when **** came down in 08! I wanted to go back to Cali (originally from) they got a bigger issue, craziness, drought issues, etc they haven't been hiring for a long time. I know a guy who I used to work with took a job in Pasadena; he got the job from a friend who worked there who was able to help him out. I am not sure how much IT experience he has, but he got a really good job offer and found out he got a promotion pretty quick.
My sister wants me to be closer to her, much closer to her I haven't seen her since 02. There's IT jobs in AZ but this state isn't an in demand state like CA and NY when it comes to IT jobs. There's nobody else here as far as "family" brother is in CO and that's even more expensive! Housing is cheaper in NV which I can see why my sister chose it as she told me she wanted to go back to CA, you need serious income. She wasn't gonna go to the South where her soon to be ex hubby is from, and definitely not the East Coast again too expensive.
That's like saying you can't go be near your sister! Anyway, this is why I am doing research. I didn't say I was gonna leave tomorrow and be hired in another state just looking at my options.
