I had a major life change 8 months ago. I had to move back home where it's beyond stressful. My anxiety meds aren't enough. I'm very depressed. My doctor gave up on me because she said there's nothing else she can do. My current diagnosis is schizoaffective disorder.
Can DID cause psychosis? No antipsychotics have ever did anything for me.

no DID does not cause psychosis and psychosis does not cause DID. short version with DID reality testing remains intact, (the person and alters know whats real and what isnt, dont lose track of whats real, ) with psychosis reality testing does not remain intact. (cant always tell whats real and whats not real, hallucinations, delusions, delusional thoughts...)
that said a person can have more than one mental illness at the same time, meaning someone can have both the mental disorder DID and have the mental disorder psychosis, or for example having DID and having bipolar disorder which can also have psychotic symptoms.
my suggestion talk with your (or a) mental health provider in your locaiton, they can help you figure out if these problems you have been having is DID or psychosis or whether you have more than one mental illness at the same time.
