Hello there and I'd like to offer a big warm WELCOME to Psych Central and all it has to offer. I haven't seen you in this thread, so I'm assuming you are a new member (sorry if I'm wrong). I have exactly the same worries as you hunny, don't you just find it awesome when you read that somebody else suffers with this secret ''thing'' that you do too. I was originally hospitalised for anorexia/depression, then went to restricting, then to bulimia. My problems go back some 33 years now ~~ wasted years, don't you do the same, seek and take any help that's offered.
Yes, I'm new here! Hi
I'm in my early twenties now, but have wasted 15 years already on eating disorders....having food being the main focus of my life, hiding, not being able to socialise properly in case someone sees me eating, and the many, many medical problems that go along with it.
It's something I want to change, especially now that I see there's a problem. I am seeing a counsellor about it, and know I've to do it more gradually than last time so I won't slip as easily. Which is why I'm mainly looking for junk food substitutes at present - I'm not ready to try stop yet.
