doesn't that make any sense at all?

i mean... i do understand that people often don't mean what they say here (e.g., saying that people aren't welcome to post at psychcentral if they have had thoughts of hurting other people when one really means to rule out pedophiles).

but i would have thought there would have been some respect for conventions on the meanings of terms...
