I find that sometimes I am more resilient than others- and those times when I am *not* resilient are the times when I am more apt to lie around waiting for something to happen rather than use the resources at hand to deal with things.

Perhaps my understanding of resilience needs more work. I am thinking of it as the ability to bounce back from adversity and typically involves perceptiveness, attention, perseverance. The ability to survive circumstances.
My feeling is that although resourcefulness comes into the bounce-back ability, it is also another trait in its own right and involves: questioning, imagining and using whatever resources come to hand. The ability to adapt circumstances perhaps?
