If you are happy and become comfortable with Netscape that's good... but if you want to try something else Firefox is the hot new browser, free, and made by Mozilla...
It is VERY conformant to web standards, has a built in pop-up blocker, a very nice tabbed interface, and is very easy to add features to with plug in extensions. I've grown very happy with it.
You should be able to install it alongside Netscape with no problem. I have it installed along with IE, I keep them both active to check that my web pages work properly in both browsers... but I do all my browsing in Firefox.
You should also keep IE on your system if for no other reason than that to access Windows Update (which you should do regulalry to check for patches and things) that ONLY works through the IE explorer. Having it on your system isn't going to hurt anything... I have everything set so that when I click on links on my desktop or in my email it opens right in Firefox by default, I get IE only when I manually open IE for whatever reason I want it.
