I would think too many clients would be a problem...I've had bad experiences with counsellors who couldn't seem to remember much about me or keep my story straight, or who seemed to operate strictly by a 'this is your diagnosis, so now you do this and this' approach and not give a crap about getting to know me better than that, and I suspect a heavy caseload may have had something to do with that. I have no idea what that maximum number would be, though.

This is the first therapist I've seen who's reminded me of things I've said that I didn't immediately recall, which is quite a new experience for me. Too often, it's been me correcting and re-explaining things all the damn time. It's definitely refreshing.
