I am new here and this is my first post.

I was diagnosed with bipolar II in July after a few years of being misdiagnosed with MDD. My Pdoc and I have been working on the correct medication cocktail and I believe I am edging toward stability with Lamictal and Seroquel. However, I still have boughts of pretty strong irritabiliy. My Pdoc suggests using Xanax when this happens, but Xanax makes me very sleepy and unable to function.

I am wondering if anyone has used medical marijuana for irritabiliy and if it has been effective without excessive sedation.

I am concerned it could worsen depression which is a big problem for me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
