Hey man, good post !
You're absolutely right ... you don't need to lift and look like a bodybuilder. In fact, you don't have to do anything you don't enjoy or feel comfortable doing. Don't give in to expectations thrown at you by society or anyone in your life.
As an aspiring fitness trainer, in fact, I find that most people are naturally drawn more towards endurance exercises and find lifting boring and unnatural.
It's great that you have found what you are good at and enjoy doing - endurance exercise. It's just as good for your health (perhaps better, in some ways) than lifting. So, no reason to feel bad at all.
Also, there is a scientific basis for why some folks are better at lifting than endurance exercises (or vice versa). You might know this already
, but if not, look up "fast twitch vs slow twitch muscle fibers". Basically, they're 2 different types of muscle fibers, and each person's genetic makeup dictates what they'll be better at - endurance or resistance.
Anyway, keep up the endurance workouts. They're so good for your heart and lungs ... esp. for people like us who have asthma.
Who gives a $%$#%#$ what women want ?!!! In fact, I think most of them just like men who take care of themselves .. it doesn't matter how.
You rock, bro !
