It's funny you posted about this because I've been searching for answers myself regarding this matter. I always worry about things I cannot do or how that may affect others around me and I obsess over it to the point were, no matter what I do, the thoughts seem to be the ones in charge at times.
I am currently seeing a therapist who suggested exposure therapy and to "not think about these things unless they are concrete plans" Easier said than done. Good luck with your search!
