You know. I think we all do this. My last episode of mania, it was very hot - maybe it was heat stroke. I was on a job interview out of state - maybe it was the stress of being unemployed.

I have to check myself and realize that it was indeed mania and the meds restored me to sanity at the Mental ER.

A few days ago I read the article on PC about stopping AAPs and how the brain makes more dopamine receptors when you are on them, which makes an abrupt or drastic change very risky for a manic/psychotic break.

I really feel for you, acceptance is tough. I have to remind myself everyday that if I am not on top of my treatment, a relapse just might be the end for me.
