If we could only see ourselves as those that love us see us. There would be no question about who or what we are and we would be able to give ourselves the love that we so deserve and crave.

I'm sorry your friend doesn't show you more compassion and understanding. At times, the ones we crave it from the most have the least to give us in our hour of need. Maybe its from lack of understanding how we feel, maybe it's because their minds are elsewhere in their lives trying to do the best they can do to get through the day.
