I am sorry to hear that you are going through this situation.

I am sure that you have a good doc who means well but the best person to manage you through this current situation which may require med adjustments whilst you transition through this phase would be a pdoc.

Is there any remote possibility you can get a referal in the interum to see a new one?

Personally, I don't think that you should be waiting until your pdoc returns from maternity leave.

I think the abilify would make you sleepy at first but I hope this side effect begins to wear off.
