As pegasus said, it may be worth watching it so you know how the episode ends or you could be thinking and wondering about it unnecessarily. Having someone with you would probably help.
If you can't bring yourself to watch it though, perhaps you could read a synopsis of the episode and talk about it with your son if he's seen it. Maybe you'd feel more comfortable watching if you knew what to expect? That is, if you don't mind spoilers
