Hi PoppyRoad,

I'm on Minastrin 24 Fe. I am sensitive to birth control pills and I had issues with depression on them. Off them, I had heavy periods that would go on well over a week. I finally told my gyn exactly what I wanted out of a pill and she suggested the Minastrin because it's pretty low dose and it's been wonderful…I don't feel emotionally altered or hormonal in any way and my periods went from 10 days to just one spotty day! It's also monophasic so you can take packs back-to-back and skip your period entirely. I don't know what I would do without it.

As a caveat I'm in my 20s so I can't vouch for how it works for perimenopause bleeding but it's really worked wonders for my regular heavy bleeding. Unfortunately sometimes you don't really know until you try.
Thanks for this!
