I can concur with emwell's concerns about ect.org. It is VERY one-sided website, VERY anti-ECT, and anyone who in any way speaks of their own positive experience with ECT is practically attacked by the members there (and I'm not just talking about my own personal experience; I saw it play out in pretty much every single instance over and over again). Administration on that site will not support anyone who is not staunchly anti-ECT, no matter how horribly they are being mistreated by others. This is NOT the place for anyone to go who wants information on both sides of ECT, reasonable unbiased discussion, or respectful discourse about the subject.
