Yes, it is crazy, and it's wrong. I am sorry your own family is not supporting you, sadly that does happen not just with veterans, but many civilians as well. People don't understand how bad PTSD can get and they can actually be very dismissive, even mean too. At least there has been an effort to have more awareness about it to some degree.
I know a vet that has it and struggles, did three tours in Iraq, and he gets housing and is going to college too. I don't understand why some get help and others don't. As I mentioned, it could be the state you live in and the VA services are still very poor.

I believe you about having to complain about people who are powerful and not getting the backing. I did a search to see if I could find that special I had watched so I could get the names of the people they had on, but I could not seem to find it. I will have to try and look some more tomarrow.
