I think the description is consistent with others within this community, and is put into practice consistently. I don't understand the "don't mean what they say here"? I thought the description a good one.
Let me try to expand my understanding of the description which is, as well as the intent for this forum...
I'll use an example.
The Bipolar forum description states: For the discussion and support of individuals who suffer from bipolar disorder and mania (or hypomania).
That description doesn't mean, nor do we enforce, that only those with that specific dx, in one of those specfic states of it, can post there.
Much like the description of the Bipolar Forum is any forum, this specific description is the same.
It's for those living with DID and feeling vulnerable. That is the forum's stated purpose. What will be required (more than who, with what, is posting - but keeping in mind it is a place intended for DID'ers when feeling vulnerable) is the interaction that takes place within what is stated in the description...so that it stays "The Garden".
I really don't think the words need changed due to the above and because it is a forum created for those with DID feeling vulnerable (again, like the diagnosis specific forums - Bipolar forum, Dissociative Disorders Forum, Depression Forum, etc., etc.).
