The usual time to clear for my unit was 6 months. I was out in 10 days. I had a e7 e6 and e5 escort me everywhere. I made a fus about my dd214 being wrong but my escorts said they were under orders from the cornel to get me out in ten days no matter what. So I really had no option. When I got out I submitted a request to get it changed washington said the evidence from my unit was overwhelming and they would not change it. I got screwed and really nothing I can do about it. My dd214 said that I was only in for a year and 6 months said I only had one metal and never deployed. In reality I was in for 2 years and 11 months I had 5 metals and spent 3 months overseas. I deployed with another unit not mine so that could be why I never got any overseas days on my dd214. It also said I never made any airborne jumps when I did over 12 but my unit doctored up my jump record. I made a fus about it to my co but it was my word against a e7. Of course the e7 wins. After I got out that e7 got court mashiled for shooting a private in the back and remember that thing on the news about soldiers peeing on dead bodies. That was the same e7.
