I completely understand where you are coming from. I quit my job earlier this year (3 deaths of close people in less than a year) because of depression.

I have been sending out resumes too without any replies yet. We just have to hang in there. I remember in previous times of job searches (although I had a job when I was looking), it seems like it is feast or famine. I panicked, then got 4 offers in one week.

Just know that when one door closes, another one opens. I believe that you will find the next place that you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there.
