That's what I would say. Feel the emotion, think about where it's coming from and tell yoursef it's ok. Emotions are a normal part of being human, even intense emotions. Everyone has them and it's completely fine to allow them to happen. If you need to take a break for a minute before you act on those emotions, that is perfectly fine too. It takes practice, but it does get easier to handle it over time.
