As for the binging...I know it's hard. Sometimes just...dropping on the floor, on the spot (if you're at home), helps. Just drop. Don't move. Just stay there, paralyzed. Let go of the physical awareness and focus 100% on pushing those cravings away. It's almost like a meditation. You breathe in, breathe out and you talk yourself out of binging. Sometimes when I try to go out for a walk to push away my binging, I end up just...subconsciously hastily walking right into a grocery store to buy binge foods.
So, sometimes...just let that percentage of your mind that is distracted of taking care of your physical awareness dissipate and just focus on meditating.

You are right about being honest. I think that sometimes I am not honest because I am just trying to fool myself - sort of not being honest with myself
I have never thought of your approach, but it sounds very calming
To just remove your mind, and let it float into peace and self-care
It sounds very loving (I hope that makes sense), and
sometimes, when tempted, maybe we need to love ourselves more.
