Today I had a job interview. I was already running a bit late, then when I was almost there I realized I had walked by the building so I had to turn around and walk back and it was getting later and I was getting more stressed out. I got out of the elevator on the 7th floor just as a postman was leaving, but the door fell closed before I reached it. As I said I was late and stressed, I noticed a sign posted on the door saying something about ringing the bell and waiting for the green light, but in my haste I didn't read it properly and I just pushed the first button I saw.
Which turned out to be the alarm. And it wouldn't shut off. Way to make a first impression!

"Did you push the button?" "Erm, I think I might have...."

Luckily my interview partner was cool about it but the girl at the reception was very annoyed!
Now I think about it, the door was probably open and all I would have had to do was just push it to open......
