So, I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar II and looking back on my moods for the last several years, it totally makes sense. I am starting on mood stabilizers and I am hoping that can even out my mood swings and such. My question, and one I've been asking myself for a while, is what does a "normal" (normal meaning non-bipolar) mood feel/look like? I feel like I've been having these bipolar mood swings for so long I can't remember what regular sadness, anger, happiness, ect... looks and feels like.

I'm hoping to re-enter the job world in a few months and I just want to make sure that when I'm feeling bad I'm not just blaming it on bipolar when it could really just be a regular mood. I ask because I just want to make sure i'm not using my diagnoses as a crutch.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!
