So referring to Instagram. I almost have 20K followers, yet the ones who I really want to like my stuff, don't like my stuff.

Who are these special people? My 'friends'. I searched about 10,000 profiles to see if they liked my stuff, and barely any of them did (I had to search the 'Likes' to see if my 'friends' had liked my pictures). I know this sounds stupid, I just feel a little sad about it.

About 2 months ago, I would see that they had liked my photos. It's as if they went on my profile, and 'unliked' all of the pictures that they did like, originally.

For those of you who don't know what Instagram is, its a social media site.

The big difference between 'IG' and FaceBook (FB) is that IG is all about the 'now'. There are a few variables though. Including how many people you follow. The more people you follow, the more photos you have. You only see the photos of the people you're following. So if you had 100 'following', it would be easier compared to 1000 following.

Most of the time, users have more 'following' than they do 'followers'.

So say I post a picture at 6PM, if you have a lot of 'following', the only real chance you have at seeing that picture is if you see it within 1-2 hours of the original post date, so since I posted it at 6PM, you most likely have till about 8PM before it gets lost in all the other photos/posts. Some users post 1x a day, others post 6x a day. I, however, post about 1x per 2-3 weeks (intentionally).

So I don't know if I'm reading too much into this, or not. All I know is that I feel hurt and left out. Because some of my 'friends' I know for a fact liked my pictures, and all the sudden their likes aren't there anymore. I also know that some of my 'friends' like every single post (almost, every single post) of our mutual friend (example, I am friends with person A and B, but A and B are also friends, so A and B always like each others stuff, while never liking my stuff).

Also, I never really like their stuff either. Sometimes I do, but rarely. But if I see I've 'neglected' them, I'll give them a few likes.
