You had something huge in front of you, that you weren't sure you could do by yourself, so you asked for God's help, sincerely, putting your all into it. And then you did what you could. You made up the work, and studied, and took your final exam. God helped your efforts and made it work, softening your teacher's heart. That's what we have to do in life too. Just do your best. If it is all that you can do, and you ask, then He will make up the difference.
