I don't blame you feeling that way at all. After my beloved companion Doberman died, I visited many Dobies. I realized that they just looked too much like L'Ombre but would never be him. So I got a standard poodle who had completely his own personality and his own look. Could never replace L'O in my heart, but we had 13.5 most excellent years together.
