5 days might not be enough time to truly tell if it's working.

I was put on Saphris while in the hospital, and at first I felt even worse. Since I was somewhere safe, they decided to keep me on it to see if it would work eventually and after about a week the depression lifted.

It might be beneficial to chart your moods? Like write down a number for how you're feeling every day or twice a day to keep track of a pattern in the highs and lows? There's also a site called Moodscope where you can graph your mood.

Also I wouldn't worry too much about feeling bad after getting a bad grade - anyone who cares about their marks would experience a drop in mood after that.
