A good start, if you don't have any personal contacts, is to simply do a google search for your city name and "mental health" or mental health services, or counseling, or anything like that. You'll usually end up with at least numbers you could call. At that point, you can start shopping around for a therapist, or even ask doctors and whatnot for referrals.

There's no harm in trying out a therapist and looking for another if it's not working out. Don't pressure yourself into having to find the "perfect" therapist, they don't exists.
