About 6 months later, I decided I wanted to return to therapy, but I had to find someone new because I lived in a different state. I tried two different therapists, and neither of them felt like a good fit. My most recent one is okay, but I don't feel the same connection. I'm at a point where I'm doing really well and could stop therapy, but I would like to continue therapy to explore some deeper issues from the past, and I want a good therapist! I'm considering reaching out to this old therapist whom I really liked, and seeing if she could do therapy via phone or skype instead of staying with my current therapist.

I can't tell if I want to reach out to her because I genuinely don't feel a good fit/connection with my current therapist or if I just miss having my old therapist in my life.

Has anyone had to deal with a similar situation? Any thoughts?
I had to stop seeing my FAVORITE T because of money problems. I couldn't afford his EXTREMELY expensive sessions anymore. I can now, but he won't contact me again after I left him a few texts and a voice mail. It destroyed me. I guess thats how it is at the end. I really don't have advice but I've been through something similar. If you do like phone/skype sessions instead of face to face, you can do that. Best of luck.
