Psychotropic drugs' efficacy and side effects seem to vary widely from patient to patient. I tried Effexor years ago and it didn't help me at all, but I had a nice long-term relationship with Seroquel where I took it every night at bedtime and enjoyed sound, uninterrupted sleep that seemed to maintain my stability. I had to stop Seroquel because it conflicted with another drug that I must now take for a cardiac condition. Best of luck with your new scrips and remember that your doctor can usually prescribe alternatives if they don't work out.
