I was on 300xl but a key maybe lowering the Lexapro to .5 mg. Lexapro is one of the best SSRI's for most because your dealing with lower doses for it to work. Plus it is the cleanest 5HT reuptake inhibitor. That I know of. Also, it's usually proven in studies that it has the lowest SSRI side effects. Talk to your pdoc about it. I am male. So it can be affecting you differently but usually there are a lot of the same SSE.!
Often the wellbutrin xl, which I can't handle the fast effects of the instant release. You now have basically a triple reuptake inhibitor. Lexapro being very specific with 5HT reuptake inhibitor. Plus Wellbutrin being a NE and DA reuptake inhibitor. So, basically all three monoamines are becoming more active in the synapse. Just talk to your pdoc about that.
All that I can say You might be able to get .5mg of Lexapro with it's potency and lessen side effects!
DA-dopamine
NE- Norepinephrine
Sorry, I am getting a bit tired. I love the psychopharmacology section but like 2 posts fry me!
Talk to him/her about it all
Oh, you have a nurse practitioner!!!
Ask for a credible doc. Preferably a pdoc. They can tweak this very easily, imho But I dont know your situation and trust me a n.p. vs. a pdoc or even a doc.- big difference!
