Tears are flowing as I read your post. And would you believe Pudgie is laying under my desk, next to my feet, snoring away.
((((Pat)))), thank you so much for sharing. And yes you have helped in a big way. I am sooo sorry for your loss. I can feel your pain as I can feel the pain of all the members that responded to this thread who have lost their beloved pets. I guess what I am saying, when there is a connection and an understanding to one's pain, the pain is still there, but in a sense, healing too.
We put away Izz's dresses and pink coat. Even her harness and leash and food bowl are packed away. I can't bare to give them away. They are a part of Izzy that I can keep. But I will always keep her in my heart...
As for Pudgie, the new pug; looks like he is trying his best to win me over. He didn't eat anything yesterday and he wouldn't eat today, so I tried hand feeding him. He gobbled up all the food his past owners gave us. oo lol, he pees like a girl. Maybe Guinny, the black pug will show him how it is done. lol Gotta lift that leg like a man to pee. haha...
Pudgie is not afraid of the gate at the foot of the stairs, which means when I can't find him, he had made his way upstairs to explore and maybe pee. He is a handful.. The good thing is he loves huggggs and he gives lots of doggie kisses. I think I am already starting to soften. I kind of like the clumsy lug. I sure do like his snuggles..
