I think our pets teach us what "unconditional love" really is. They love us no matter what. Izzy is actually the second pug I lost. My first pug was Trixie. I had her for 13 years., She died in my arms. She was soooo very special to me.

Then six years later we got Izzy. Izzy was soo different from Trixie that there is no comparison. Izzy just touched my heart in a way no other dog has. Maybe because in a sense she was abused, as she lived the first year and a half in a cage at a puppy mill. Oh I loved her soo much.. And she loved being loved....

Hope you post some pictures of your toy poodle, Izzy. I'd love to see them....

Three days later and I think my heart has softened towards the new pug. I pushed him away at first. But he keeps following me. and gives me that big brown eye pug look.. He jumps on the sofa and takes naps next to me. He props his little head on my leg and snores away... and at bed time he snuggles up real close to me, stretches out his legs, being all snug, and starts snoring away. I am slowing melting under his charming ways...
